It offers seven bathrooms, a kitchen, an outdoor pool and a garden, in the green Gurktal Alps close to the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. Sleeping at Castle Berg Klösterle: a castle for large groups in Carinthia

Castle Berg Klösterle is not a hotel with a front desk but a whole building for large parties. The Expedia listing, which names a private host, offers it for 20 to 35 people and shows many bedrooms with wooden beds, wardrobes, desks, curtains and radiators, some with chandeliers or pendant lamps. Seven bathrooms with showers are listed, with towels and toilet paper provided, plus a kitchen, a TV with cable or satellite channels and an iron.

Outside there are a garden and an outdoor pool. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and internet access in some public areas, and central heating is listed. The property is on a single level, so there is no lift, and parking is available on site, including two wheelchair-accessible spaces.

Dogs are welcome (a maximum of two in total, up to 25 kg each) and smoking is not allowed. The listing does not mention breakfast, a restaurant or a reception, so it is worth checking in advance what is included; inns in the area are 12 to 24 minutes away by car.

Neither the listing nor Wikipedia describes the building itself. What can be said is that the position Expedia gives lies only about 200 m from the parish church of Zedlitzdorf, to which a former Carmelite hospice is attached. German Wikipedia notes that this hospice complex is privately owned today and let to tourists. The name “Klösterle” (“little monastery”) and the location would fit, but the listing does not say so, and this page does not claim that the two are the same building.

The church forms the north front of an almost square, two-storey complex with a cross-vaulted cloister around a courtyard. All roofs are covered in wooden shingles, and the church has Rococo wall paintings from the third quarter of the 18th century. Church and former hospice are listed as protected monuments.
